For years people have asked me about how they can own a print by George Masa, and how his legacy can be supported through this. Finally, we have a method. Asheville, NC frame shop, The Frugal Framer is making some images of George Masa’s that are preserved in the Buncombe County Special Collections Library, available for purchase, in a variety of beautiful frames. -Paul
Most importantly, a percentage of these sales will be donated to the Friends of Buncombe County Special Collections, supporting the work of the library, their preservation and outreach.
While many images of Masa’s are in this collection, in the future, we hope to broaden these relationships with other archives so Masa’s images can be shared and these archives also supported. Frugal Framer has some for immediate sale at their 95 Cherry Street N. location, downtown Asheville, and they will customize a print and frame for you.
